Mr. Moosey has been practicing law for more than 20 years. His practice over the years has focused on patent prosecution, product clearance, validity and infringement analysis, trademarks, copyrights in entertainment, and counseling clients on all aspects of intellectual property protection. He specializes in U.S. and international patent protection for innovations in the electronic, electrical, electro-mechanical and software arts. He has significant experience in solid-state electronics, semiconductor device manufacturing, automatic test equipment, communications, computer hardware, computer graphics, software, business methods, security exchange trading systems, medical devices and water-filtration systems among other technologies.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Moosey was in-house counsel for a semiconductor test company and an associate at a major national patent law firm. Before becoming an attorney Mr. Moosey worked at a semiconductor company in Massachusetts and served on active duty in the United States Air Force as a warranted Administrative Contracting Officer, an electrical engineer, and a program manager.
Mr. Moosey has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame, a Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology specializing in solid-state devices and communications, a Master of Business Administration from Boston University, and a Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School.
Mr. Moosey is admitted to practice in Massachusetts, the U.S. District Court for the First Circuit, First Circuit Court of Appeals, Federal Circuit Court of Appeals, the U.S. Supreme Court, and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He is a member of the Boston Patent Law Association and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. Mr. Moosey has been on the Board of Governors of the Handel and Haydn Society since 2008 and has been riding in the Pan Mass Challenge since 2007.
