Donald F. Mofford is a founding member of Daly, Crowley, Mofford & Durkee, LLP. Daly, Crowley, Mofford & Durkee, LLP is an Intellectual Property law firm with an emphasis on procuring U.S and foreign patents for individual and corporate clients.

Mr. Mofford provides a wide range of legal services related to the acquisition, maintenance and enforcement of U.S. and foreign intellectual proprietary rights on behalf of individuals and corporations. He regularly counsels clients concerning licensing of intellectual property as well as strategies for developing intellectual property portfolios to include patents, trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets. Mr. Mofford has significant technical experience with respect to information technology services, communication networks, radar systems, optical systems, imaging techniques, semiconductor circuits and processing techniques, microwave systems and circuits, and computer software and architecture.

Mr. Mofford entered the intellectual property law profession in 1988, when he joined Raytheon Company's patent department. There he was responsible for preparation and prosecution of U.S. and foreign patent applications in a wide variety of technical fields. Mr. Mofford also provided business and legal counsel on intellectual property matters to senior management of Raytheon Company. Mr. Mofford provided such counsel with respect to teaming agreements, joint development agreements and acquisitions, including Raytheon's acquisition of the defense business of Texas Instrument and the defense business of Hughes Electronics Corporation. His responsibilities also included advising management on the proper procedures to protect trade secrets of the company including limited rights of technical data and restricted rights of computer software delivered to the government.

Mr. Mofford left Raytheon Company in 1997 to join Polaroid Corporation as Associate Patent Counsel where he was responsible for intellectual property matters for Polaroid Corporation's Consumer Imaging Group and Image Science Lab until he started the firm in 1999.

Mr. Mofford is a patent attorney and a cyber professional. Mr. Mofford retired as a Colonel from the United States Air Force and Air National Guard having worked as a cyberspace operations officer where he specialized in implementing information technology services at the edge of the Global Information Grid for the warfighter. In his early military career he served as a Communication- Electronics Engineering Officer where he planned and engineered tactical communication networks for military deployments both overseas and in the states. In 2003, Colonel Mofford was mobilized where he served as the Air Combat Command Crisis Action Team (CAT) A6 during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He has been involved in implementing information technology solutions at Raytheon Company, Polaroid Corporation and his firm.

Mr. Mofford graduated from the University of Massachusetts - Dartmouth with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and earned his Juris Doctorate degree from New England School of Law. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the Massachusetts State Courts, the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, the U.S. Court of Federal Claims and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

He is a life member of the Amateur Radio Relay League, Eta Kappa Knu and AFCEA and a member of the Boston Patent Law Association and the Association of Old Crows.
