Do Te's practice focuses on all aspects patent law, including patent preparation and prosecution, patent and landscape analysis, and client counseling in both domestic and foreign jurisdictions. He has substantial patent preparation and prosecution experience in a number of technical areas including software, computing architectures and systems, financial technologies, mobile technologies, networking and Internet, IoT, machine learning, autonomous technologies, data centers and cloud services, virtual reality, and augmented reality. Do Te's experience also includes negotiating and drafting license agreements and developing and managing patent portfolios.

Prior to law school, Do Te worked for over 12 years as a software engineer at a number of Fortune 100 companies.

Do Te received his J.D. from University of Utah, S.J. Quinney College of Law, in 1998, and an A.B. in Computer Science from University of California, Berkeley, in 1982.

After law school, Do Te was an associate at several law firms including Knobbe Martens and Perkins Coie, and also spent 10 years as in-house patent counsel for a prominent non-practicing entity. Do Te is a member of the state bars of California and Washington, and is a registered patent attorney with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
