Alexander (Alex) Jochym graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech) with a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Alex worked as a Traffic Engineer at TPD, Inc. in their Traffic Planning department. Alex earned his Juris Doctor degree from Rutgers University – Camden while working as a Traffic Engineer. Alex went on to work for International Business Machines Corporation (IBM) as a Patent Attorney working in computer related fields related to both computer software and computer hardware. Alex earned his Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the State University of New York at Binghamton (Binghamton University) while working at IBM. Alex then went on to work as a Patent Attorney for Universal Display Corporation working with Organic Light-Emitting Diodes (OLEDs) and Organic Vapor Jet Printing. Alex has practiced patent law for 15 years, handling patent application preparation and prosecution.

Alex is admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar and the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Alex is also a registered patent attorney with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
